What's the matter with the German football fans? The interest in the three preliminary rounds of the German national football team at the World Championships next year in South Africa leaves much to be desired.
"The demand is very weak," commented the Secretary General of the German Football Federation (DFB), Wolfgang Niersbach, sports image the previous ticket sales.
Niersbach suspected that the large distance and high travel costs could deter many fans. Since last Sunday, the tickets for the games against Australia (June 13), Serbia (to 18 June) and Ghana (June 23, will be ordered) on the homepage of the World Association FIFA.
FIFA has blocked a rate of twelve percent of the tickets offered for sale for each of the 32 participants. This means that in Durban in 8400, in Port Elizabeth in 5500 and Johannesburg, 11,400 tickets for the German fans are available.
